Product Description
Jerrod Niemann may be a fresh voice on the country airwaves but this Kansas native has already been making a name for himself, both as a performer and a respected songwriter, best known for co-writing Garth Brooks' #1 hit "Good Ride Cowboy". Jerrod's creative style is very much his own, blending traditional roots with a contemporary edge, together with unconventional elements for an album that he describes as "deliciously diverse." For his upcoming major label debut, Jerrod found inspiration from his long-time friend and fellow recording artist,Jamey Johnson, who encouraged him to make a record that really meant something to him.
The resulting music is Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury. With his first single "Lover, Lover," he has become the first new male artist to break into the Top 30 of the Billboard Country singles chart in under 6 weeks since 2006.

5 out of 5 stars don't buy a preorder, released soon, no bargain   July 15, 2010

I ordered this in June when Lover, Lover first hit the radio. No other previews were available then. They had changed the available date from end of June to July 14, here it is July 15 I tracked cd it left Ohio on to Md. someday will make it to me in Kentucky. Love the preview of songs, can't wait till mine gets here. But will never order a pre-release again. Could have already been to Walmart on the 14th and have it.

Okay, the skits are cute.
Just go with it.
The CD is terrific!
I keep listening to it over and over.
Just listen to the song "Lover, Lover" once, and you'll be hooked too!
The best new country I've heard in a very long time.

5 out of 5 stars Best Album of the Year...   August 1, 2010
Justin Mascari (Milwaukee, WI USA)
I initialy bought this album after I heard some of the other previews (I had already purchased the Lover, Lover single). Although it was bought at a local Walmart due to unforseen circumstances with my form of payment thru amazon and couldnt make the payment on the release date (I did have it Pre Ordered).

Upon opening the album and inserting in my laptop to hear the entire album, I was at first dissapointed at the rediculious "comedic skits" (what some of the other reviewers were complaining about). This is indeed not the case as I found out by listening to it a few more times.

Allow me to clarify;
-Track 1 is introducing you to the artist and album.
-Track 4 leads you into track 5
-Track 7 leads you into track 8
-Track 10, well, simply put is pointless
-Track 12, again pointless
-Track 15 leads you into track 16
-Track 18 leads you into track 19
-Track 20 suggests you listen to album again

The ruling that has been handed down is that the Jury is Not Hung and Find Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury Guilty of putting out one of the greatest country albums for 2010!

It was briliantly thought out and put together albeit 2 pointless tracks (10 & 12)

I would highly recommend this album for family and friends who enjoy the genre of country music!

5 out of 5 stars REAL FUN COUNTRY   August 9, 2010
Betty A. Schanz (Cedarburg, Wi)
Lover Lover is an awesome song and the singer is terrific. I now have even more favorites since I bought this CD and will be playing it many times over. His voice, the words to the songs and how he delivers them is totally, exceptionally, perfect. I hope he will be around for many years to come. Oh and the best part, there are so many many songs on the CD to choose from. WOW 5 Stars from me.
